September Arts & Culture Scene: Tweed & Area Events

The Tweed & Area Arts Council has been working with several other local organizations to share information / coordinate the many arts / culture events happening in our community. One of the products we have prepared to help get the word out is a monthly poster calendar that highlights Tweed arts and culture events. This one is for September 2025 – please share the pdf or jpeg version! For more details on these and other events, and to learn about additional arts events in Tweed, see our events listing ! Please feel free to submit your arts or culture event to us so we can add it to the calendar.

Heads up on some items of interest:

  • Were you a porch host, musician, sponsor, or audience member at this year’s Front Porch Ruckus? We’d like to hear from you…Please take a couple of minutes to fill out a brief online survey by Sunday September 21. This will help us make next year’s Tweed’s Front Porch Ruckus on Sat. June 27 event better!
  • Taste of Tweed is a culinary adventure celebrating local chefs and produce at Memorial Park, returning on Sunday September 14 as part of Hastings County’s inaugural ‘Farms Open‘ weekend.
  • The Tweed Harvest Festival is back September 26 through 28, with a number of events throughout the community.
  • The Tweed and Area Studio Tour is running September 27 and 28.
  • September is the final month for the current ‘In Conversation with Artists’, which features multi-media artist Bob Pennycook. A selection of Bob’s work is on display until the end of the month at the Tweed Public Library, Quinn’s of Tweed Fine Art Gallery and in the atrium at the Marble Arts Centre.  Read a blog post or watch the video interview with Bob on our YouTube channel. Next up is textile artist Marta Mouka!
  • Tweed & Company Theatre is offering theatrical performances, concerts and more at the Marble Arts Centre this season.  If you haven’t yet seen the spectacular new atrium and renovated theatre space – you really should… On Thursday September 18, the AC/DC Show Canada will be rocking out the MAC. On Friday Sept. 26, the Practically Hip are appearing at a ‘pay what you feel’ event at the Tweed and Company Outdoor Stage in Memorial Park. In case you missed the sold-out run in Tweed, Jersey Boys – the award-winning, blockbuster that tells the true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons – is running until August 31 at the Bancroft Village Playhouse.
  • Mark your calendars for Art in the Park Sat. August 1, 2026 at the Pavilion/Memorial Park. You may enjoy a news blog on the history of Art in the Park.
