Arts Council and Studio Tour Join Forces
The Tweed & Area Arts Council is excited to announce that the Tweed & Area Studio Tour will be coming into our tent, as the two organizations join forces as of January 1, 2026.
Margot Collins, Chair of the Arts Council states that “We are thrilled to welcome the Studio Tour on board; it just makes sense”. Pam Bailey Brown, involved since day 1 and former Chair of the Studio Tour Committee, added “We look forward to this new partnership with the Arts Council, and working together to grow the tour into the future. Onward and upward!”.
The 2026 Studio Tour will be held on the weekend of September 26 & 27 – the 27th year for this event! As in previous years, the call for artists/ artisans will open January 1, closing on March 15.
We will be updating our websites and social media platforms in coming weeks and into the new year as more details become available. For your convenience, the Studio Tour website and email (tweedstudiotour@gmail.com) will remain in place for the foreseeable future. A new Studio Tour Steering Committee, comprised of members of both organizations, will be working diligently on the integration and logistics of the 2026 Tour. Please bear with us while we transition and coordinate! Follow us on the Arts Council and Studio Tour Facebook pages or Instagram (@tweedarts, @tweedtour). Check out our websites to keep up with the news on the 2026 Studio Tour, other Arts Council events and the arts and culture scene in Tweed and area. We also have a mailing list you can join. We look forward to seeing you all in 2026!
Background: T&AAC was established in 2006, and our vision is “Enriching the cultural life of the community through the arts”. We are a charitable not-for-profit organization with a membership of artists and those who support the arts. T&AAC’s small, hands-on Board of Directors, members, volunteers, and donors have increasingly generated interest and participation in the arts through a multitude of events and experiences. We bring ‘Art in the Park’ to Memorial Park each year; Tweed’s Front Porch Ruckus was new for us in 2025, and the ‘In Conversation with Artists’ video series has been a great success. The Tweed & Area Studio Tour is a not-for-profit organization made up of local artists and artisans from the south-central area of Hastings County. The purpose of the tour is to provide an opportunity for artists and artisans to showcase their talents in their studios by means of a self-guided tour, and to entice visitors to discover the wealth of artistic talent and natural beauty of our corner of Ontario.
