Susan Koysta
I was born in Vancouver, BC and attended the University of Victoria receiving a BA degree. I attended Queen’s University where I received my Bachelor of Education. After a successful career as a teacher, I found myself drawn to the art of pottery making. Since 2006 I have been engaged in creating form out of clay. I create most of my pottery on the wheel such as mugs, bowls, goblets, casseroles, teapots etc. I also make hand formed platters, vases and some bowls. Most are functional but some are very decorative. I continue to upgrade my knowledge and practice of the art form.

I love the feel of clay in my hands and I form shapes according to what is useful or decorative for your home or on your outside patio or deck. I use textures and patterns that I see in nature and have made my own stamps to apply those textures.
