Audrey was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and has resided in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.

She began painting in 1975 and after four years of intensive study, became a full-time painter in 1979. She studied with several teachers of watercolour, drawing, and oil painting at the Ottawa School of Art, Algonquin College, The Schneider School of Fine Art and Privately. She painted and exhibited watercolour almost exclusively.

Audrey is a fellow and past president of the Ottawa Watercolour Society, is past President pf Art Lending of Ottawa (1982), The Bells Corners Arts League (1981) and has served on the executive committees of the Ottawa Art Association.

Throughout her career, Audrey has held one-woman shows and participated in group shows with five other women under the name 'Aqua Media'. Her paintings have been shown regularly in commercial galleries in Ottawa, Perth, Toronto, Dundas and Wellington.

After moving to Tweed, she has been a member of the East Central Ontario Art Association since 1985, was a founding member of both the gallery at the Tweed Heritage Centre and the Tweed & Area Studio Tour.

I paint in a free, clean style with concern for eye movement and colour harmony, often leading you into a painting through sparkling whites which give the work 'room to breathe'.

I feel each painting is a statement in itself, reflecting my joy of painting in the beautiful world we inhabit.
