T&AAC TALK      page 2

The Land O’ Lakes Curling Club invites you to be part of their first (and hopefully, annual) Arts and Crafts Show and Sale on Saturday July 3rd and Sunday July 4th 2010. The area has a variety of gifted artists and artisans and they would like to take this opportunity to showcase the talent in region.
The curling club has a large area for vendors to set up their displays. Some electrical outlets are available for those who might require them. Vendors can rent an 8 X 10 space for $40.00. Tables and chairs are available. The Land O’ Lakes Curling Club is member owned. They are holding this event to raise funds to help with the increasing expenses of operating such an organization. They will be running a snack bar and plan to have a raffle table. They are asking vendors to consider donating something to our raffle table.
The show will run on Sat. July 3rd from 10:00 until 5:00 and Sunday from 10:00 until 4:00. Vendors may set up on Friday July 2nd from 5:00 until 9:00 PM or Sat. at 8:00 AM.
If you would like to be a part of the show, please contact Nancy Davis at 613-478-3529 or by e-mail nancydavis91@yahoo,ca for an application form.

Elvis' Goat Elvis

Folks in the greater Tweed area (gTa) have been appreciative of Elvis' discrete presence in these parts for several decades.

With the downturn in the economy and in his seventy fifth year Elvis has determined that despite challenging times he can help folks turn things around. Rejuvenated by the gentle life in the eclectic, greater Tweed area (gTa) and a magic ingredient in the water supply, Elvis has worked with the Tweed & Area Arts Council to develop a plan.
Stay turned to learn of Elvis' plan and have some fun with us.

Ursula Elise OSSENBURG an avid painter, artist and member of the Tweed & Area Arts Council passed away suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Saturday December 5, 2009.
