We are working on our ticket policy for those who have purchased tickets for the Craig Cardiff, Rick Fines concerts, e.g., have purchasers use them for rescheduled shows in the fall, arrange donation or refunds. Please be patient, as we haven't navigated this type of situation before! We won't be selling tickets for these or other future events at this time - other than the potential Rick Fines May 9 online guitar workshop.
We are keeping a watching brief on the requirements related to public events/health and safety. At this time, we haven't cancelled or rescheduled our other events (the next one being the first show of the Heart of Hastings Hospice / T&AAC Music with a Heart series, featuring Centre Hastings Secondary School's Sound Academy on May 28). Since our February season announcement, we have also booked several new shows for the summer and fall, both old favourites and performers first time to Tweed, more on that later!
In the meantime, enjoy virtual performances, do your art at home with friends and family, and consider donating to your favourite artists or arts organizations to help them through this uncertain time, where many are experiencing a sudden dramatic impact on revenues.
Seeking Members and Donors!
Our performances and rentals at the Marble Arts Centre are a major source of revenue for the Tweed & Area Arts Council. We always run very leanly on a 'shoestring' budget, but we need to 'keep paying some bills' so to speak, while we wait out the current situation. You may wish to consider supporting our work through membership, a donation, or our seat sale.We are a charitable, not-for-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Established in 2006, membership is open to all who wish to join.
T&AAC was founded on the belief that the arts are for everyone, and our vision is to enrich the cultural life of the community by promoting awareness of and appreciation for all of the arts. Charitable tax receipts are issued for memberships and donations. T&AAC is continuing to offer an opportunity for patrons to purchase a customized, inscribed brass plate for one or more seats at the MAC! For each donation of $50.00, a seat will be randomly selected and a 1"x2" brass plate placed at the top centre of the seat. Of 124 seats available, we have already sold over half! You will receive a charitable tax receipt ($40.00 for each $50/seat purchased).
Tweed and Area Arts Council, PO Box 359, Tweed, ON K0K 3J0
We extend our sincere gratitude to our members, volunteers, artists and supporters, past, present and future. Words cannot express our appreciation of all those who continue their work on the front lines and behind the scenes to keep our communities functional, and to protect our health and safety. We look forward to seeing you all on the other side.
Stay safe and healthy!
